Welcome

Welcome to the all new TimeOut Lounge your home for live music and dancing in Baton Rouge! TimeOut Lounge is located at 4619 Bennington Avenue, across from Gino's.  We re-opened in 2015 as a non-smoking establishment with a wonderful new atmosphere inside and a new covered, and a fan-cooled patio. Relax in our couch and club chair area or pull up a stool at the bar and enjoy great friends and great drink specials. Open from 4 pm to 2 am Monday through Saturday.

Here's the link to our online virtual tour!  Now you can see what we're all about!

A Little About Us

Like our new logo?  The logo was inspired by the logo for the old Boulevard Lounge, owned by Kathleen's father, Paul B. Fasullo.  It was located on North Boulevard in downtown Baton Rouge and was one of the first bars in the parish at the time.  He went on to own several other bars and lounges throughout his life, including the 1-2-3-Club in New Orleans.across from the Roosevelt Hotel.  The bar can be seen in a Life Magazine spread on Elvis Presley in the 60's as he exited a limo to the Roosevelt Hotel where he was filming King Creole!  In keeping with that family heritage, we chose to model the new TimeOut logo to honor those memories.  Jay and Kathleen could not be happier to have finally brought one of the city's oldest adult lounges back after that tragic December day in 2013, and look forward to being another great establishment in the College Drive corridor.
Meet Jay Byers:  After returning home from the Vietnam War in 1968, Jay went to work for Rodney Cary managing Southdown's for 5 years until he opened the Fariway View Club in 1974 with then partner Bobby Samaha.  In 1980 Jay sold his interest in Fairway View to open J-Rome's which lasted until the late 80's.  After a short hiatus from the bar and lounge scene and a brief reunion with returning to the Fairway View Club, he purchased the Time Out Lounge in 2006 and operated the business with his wife Kathleen Fasullo Byers until it was destroyed by fire in December of 2013.  Now in 2015 Jay and Kathleen are back with the new and improved TimeOut Lounge and welcome your business!
